The reason for the cancellation was given as “change in the financial situation”. The publisher did not specify what exactly was meant.
Recall the details of closed projects:
- Splinter Cell VR announced exclusively forOculus in September 2020 with Assassins Creed VR (not cancelled). Both games were developed by Red Storm with support from other Ubisoft studios. No other details have been released since then.
- Shareware battle royale GhostRecon Frontline was presented by Ubisoft Bucharest in October 2021. Players greeted the announcement negatively, so the company first postponed testing and then restarted production.
