What is known

In an interview with the Chinese publication GamerSky (viaIGN) Ubisoft boss spilled the beans that the team has begun experimenting with Splinter Cell. It's not just about gameplay mechanics, but also about expanding the list of platforms on which a new project can be released.

“There will be new experiments, but on a larger numberdifferent devices. Now we are working on the brand little by little so that one day we can return. We can't say when because, as you know, it takes time. Every time we have to find the right experience to come back with something big,” – Guillemot said.

According to rumors, Ubisoft became friends with Facebook in July.instructing Zuckerberg's company to make Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell for the Oculus VR headset. At the same time, the French are working on the mobile collectible RPG Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, where Sam Fisher also appeared.

It is possible that this is what Guillemot meant when he spoke of experiments on “more different devices.”
