Ukraine and the Pentagon responded to the statement by Musk and SpaceX: Starlink terminals worked, are working and will work

Yesterday it became known that Elon Musk’s company SpaceX will no longer be able to finance Starlink in Ukraine

and asked the US Department of Defense to allocatemeans to ensure the operation of satellite Internet. According to the company, funding for services amounts to more than $120 million until the end of the year and about $400 million over the next 12 months.

The Office of the President of Ukraine reacted to this statement: adviser to the head Mikhail Podolyak wrote on Twitter:

“Let's be honest.Whether someone likes it or not, Elon Musk helped us survive during the most critical moments of the war. Businesses have the right to their own strategies. Ukraine will find a solution for Starlink to continue operating. We expect that the company will provide stable communications until the end of the negotiations.”

The Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mikhail Fedorov, was more succinct: “Starlink terminals have worked, are working and will continue to work. Do not worry".

This issue is also being discussed in the Pentagon.Details have not yet been disclosed, but journalist Caitlin Doornbos noted after the briefing that there are other satellite communications possibilities - not only SpaceX, but also other companies.
