Ukraine began to return to the troops recognized as unsuccessful tanks

In 2017, it became known that Ukraine had put the T-64BM Bulat tank into reserve. Now, as the media write, the country

began returning the vehicles to the troops, even though they were considered unsuccessful.

According to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", T-64BM "Bulat"They were withdrawn to the reserve due to the fact that these tanks, with a weak engine and insufficiently reliable chassis, had too much weight. In addition, the dynamic protection "Knife" did not justify itself - it worked to the detriment of the tank, inflicting heavy damage on it. Another drawback was the lack of a thermal imaging night sight.

Nevertheless, according to journalists, in December 2020, T-64BM "Bulat" lit up during one of the exercises of the airborne assault forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU).
