said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine AlexeyReznikov on social networks. So far we are talking about one helicopter. In the near future, the APU will receive two more. The Sikorsky S-61 Sea King is planned to be used for search and rescue operations.

For those who are not in the know

Sikorsky S-61 Sea King is a civilian versionmilitary helicopter SH-3 Sea King. It was developed by the American company Sikorsky Aircraft and was produced not only in the USA, but also in the UK under license. The English model is called the Westland Sea King. It differs from the American one in having Rolls-Royce Gnome engines, British-made anti-submarine warfare systems and a fully computerized flight control system. Most likely, these are the models that will be transferred to Ukraine.
