Ukraine received Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas strike drone for free

Turkish assault drone Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas has finally reached Ukraine.

What is known

In May, residents of Lithuania

raised almost €6,000,000 for the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 drone for Ukraine. At the beginning of the summer, Baykar said it would donate the drone for free.

On July 4, the strike drone arrived in Lithuania, where twothe day it was presented at a military base in the city of Siauliai, after which the unmanned aerial vehicle went to Ukraine. By the way, in Lithuania the UAV received a new name - Vanagas, which means "Hawk" in translation.

On the evening of July 8, diplomat Andrei Sibiga tweeted that the Bayraktar TB2 Vanagas had successfully landed in Ukraine. The drone was transported by an Alenia C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Lithuanian Air Force.
