According to the Wall Street Journal, Ukrainianofficials developed another proposal for the United States. Earlier, we wrote that Ukraine wanted to get ATACMS, subject to the agreement of goals with Washington. The new proposal is that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will use ballistic missiles to strike Iranian drone bases in Crimea.

This was reported to the Wall Street Journalrepresentatives of Congress. Note that the United States has banned the use of HIMARS to attack Russian territory, but Crimea is legally considered a Ukrainian peninsula, which was occupied by the Russian Federation in 2014. However, despite this, there is no complete consensus in the US government on whether it is necessary to allow the use of American weapons for strikes in Crimea.

According to the White House, the use of missiles is a bigrange could escalate, make the US a party to the conflict and push Russia to use nuclear weapons. The same is said in the West about the supply of fighters and tanks. ATACMS, we recall, can hit targets at a distance of up to 300 km.
