Ukraine will soon have 25 HIMARS, M270 MLRS and MARS II multiple launch rocket systems in service - 204 GMLRS missiles can be launched simultaneously

What is known

At the moment, the United States has sent 12HIMARS units. Four more missile systems are on the way. The UK previously handed over three M270 MLRS units to us, and in early August, German MARS II arrived in Ukraine. This is a European licensed copy of the M270 MLRS with minor modifications.

MARS II and M270 MLRS have twocontainer for six GMLRS missiles. In turn, HIMARS carries six missiles. This means that 25 multiple launch rocket systems can simultaneously launch 204 GMLRS projectiles at once.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently using missilesM31A1 with a warhead weighing 90 kg. The flight range is from 15 km to 84 km, and guidance is carried out using GPS. The cost of one shell is $150,000.
