This was stated by the President of Ukraine VolodymyrZelensky. The unmanned aerial vehicles were liquidated on 5 October. Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners shot down three kamikaze drones. Three more Shahed-136s were destroyed by the pilots of the 204th Sevastopol Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Alexander Pokryshkin.
This brigade is armed with fighter jets.MiG-29 and MiG-29UB. They likely detected the kamikaze drones with the help of an optical-location station, which is able to track the heat signature of an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle.
