It should be completed in the near future, after which the air defense system will be transferred to Ukraine.

“Training program on these systemsis ongoing, and as soon as it is completed, the systems will be ready to be shipped to Ukraine. We expect the training program to be completed in the near future,” the Pentagon spokeswoman noted.

Previously, the United States promised to hand over the systems at the beginningNovember. We are talking about two systems for destroying maneuvering targets at low and medium altitudes. The complex was developed in the early 90s by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense with the participation of the American Raytheon. The air defense system entered service with the Norwegian Armed Forces in 1994. The AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles have a range of 20-40 km and a maximum altitude of 20 km. The cost of one such battery is about $65 million. By the way, one NASAMS battery consists of six mobile rocket launchers. In addition, the system has a machine for charging, target detection and servicing the complex.
