The command of the Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine told how their soldiers destroy Russian unmanned vehicles
What is known
Martlet is a British-made MANPADS.The chip of the complex is a two-channel guidance system (laser beam and infrared). Martlet uses small-sized guided missiles LMM (Lightweight Multirole Missile) manufactured by the British division of the international industrial group Thales.
Its diameter is 7.6 cm, and its length is 1.3 m.To undermine a cumulative fragmentation warhead weighing 3 kg, a non-contact laser blaster is used. The mass of the entire rocket is 13 kg. Separately, we note the solid-fuel engine, which provides a firing range of up to 8 km and a speed of up to Mach 1.5 (1852 km / h).
One of the soldiers of the 95th separate air assaultbrigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already “landed” nine Russian drones, which were engaged in adjusting fire on the positions of our troops. The Command of the Airborne Assault Forces noted that this is one of the best indicators in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The most tidbit for our anti-aircraft gunners -drone "Orlan-10". It is easy to spot due to its large size. These UAVs are used by the Russians for various purposes, including fire control and reconnaissance. What remains of a drone after being hit by an LMM Martlet missile can be seen below.
