The Uncharted film has lost its director again, but Sony has already found a candidate

As they say, not again, but again. The long-suffering film based on the Uncharted universe has collided for the second time

with the problem of the lack of a director.

What is known

According to Deadline, the film adaptationThe Adventures of Nathan Drake has once again lost its director. This time, Den Trachtenberg left Sony, who in 2018 replaced Sean Lev, who exchanged the project for Free Guy with Ryan Reynolds. Deadline sources do not know who will direct the film instead of Trachtenberg, but Sony is already negotiating with a new director who will begin work before the end of summer.

At the same time, Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man trilogy, has not yet refused to participate in the film. In the Uncharted film adaptation, he will play young Drake.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Uncharted film will be released on December 18, 2020, and filming will begin early next year.
