While smartphone manufacturers are testing Android 12 with all their might, Google today unexpectedly announced a new version
What is it?
More precisely, the company is not positioning it as newversion, but as “a special feature that makes Android 12 even better on larger screens.” That is, the platform is designed for tablets, foldable devices and laptops with Chrome OS - in general, gadgets with large screens. It's also suitable for regular smartphones, but since you really won't see many new features there, the focus is now on other devices. However, beta registration for Pixel devices will go live later in preview.
So, the OS provides additionalmultitasking tools and an optimized user interface. By default, Android 12L should also improve the appearance of apps on devices with larger screens.

Additionally, the new taskbar is now a bitReminds me of iPadOS. Split screen mode has been made easier to access - just drag the icon from the taskbar onto the screen to bring it up. This also means that every app on Android now supports split-screen mode.
