Samsung has unexpectedly released a new firmware update for the 2017 Gear Sport and 2016 Gear S3 smartwatches.
What is known
The new software version has been released with numbersassemblies R600XXU2FUD1 and R760XXU2FUD1, respectively. The Samsung Gear S3 update received improved Wi-Fi performance and bug fixes. As for the list of changes for Gear Sport, unfortunately, there is none. Most likely, the developers have added the same improvements to the software.
When to expect
According to our colleagues from SamMobile, the system has been released for smartwatches in China so far. In other regions, the update will appear a little later.
