Unreleased Windows Core operating system leaked to the network

An old build of Windows Core, codenamed Polaris, was leaked but never released.Microsoft worked

over it in 2018.

What gets into the network contains only the "bare" kernel of the operating system. It is worth remembering that Windows Core is a version of Windows that can run on HoloLens 2, and also acts as the basis for Windows 10X.Overall, this project aims to create a modular, universal OS.In theory, the system was supposed to become more secure, productive on low-end devices and provide better autonomy for them.

The Polaris project, which was a special version of Windows Core for PCs, was shut down.Microsoft has switched to Windows 10X development.

What leaked to the net is the RS3 RTM build, compatible with ARM32 architecture. It can only be run on legacy devices like Surface RT. The authors of the Windows Central edition do not recommend downloading the leaked assembly, as this is accompanied by risks.
