US and Canada will follow Russia from the air

Head of the National Center for Nuclear Risk Reduction of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Ryzhkov said that

starting today until February 1stthis year, in accordance with the International Treaty on Open Skies, a joint mission of the United States and Canada will be implemented, within the framework of which representatives of the countries will make an observation flight over Russian territory on a Canadian-made C-13OJ aircraft.

It is noted that parallel to the flightthe agreed route, Russian specialists will check for compliance with the established flight parameters, as well as the operation of surveillance devices provided for under the contract.

It is known that the aircraft C-13OJ, with whichsurveillance will be carried out, classified as an aircraft not intended for the operation of weapons. In addition, the aircraft itself, as well as the devices with which it is equipped, passed an international survey with the participation of Russian experts.
