US authorities allow Microsoft to cooperate with Huawei

It seems that the US government, as promised, has begun issuing licenses to US companies to sell

components and software from Chinese Huawei. Microsoft has already announced such a resolution.

They said yes.

Microsoft officials say they have already received a document authorizing the resumption of software exports for Huawei Technologies.

“November 20, the U.S. Department of Commerceapproved Microsoft's request for a license to export mass market software to Huawei. We appreciate the Department's actions in response to our request,” Microsoft said in a statement.

Let us remember that due to US sanctions, Huawei had to release laptops with Linux, and Microsoft temporarily stopped selling Huawei laptops in its company store.

Previously, the US government said thatAs of November 20, they had received about 300 applications for a license to cooperate with Huawei. Half are considered, about half of them or a quarter of the total are rejected.

It is unknown which companies we are talking about. But Huawei expects that Google will also receive a license in the near future, after which Google services will finally return to Chinese smartphones.
