It became known that most of the American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) cannot be equipped
The fact that American infantry fighting vehicles were left without good protection is stated in the annual report of the Pentagon's Office of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E).
In 2018, the U.S. Army chose Iron Fist inas the main means of protection for Abrams tanks, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and Stryker armored personnel carriers. The system should protect cars from anti-tank threats and grenade launchers. It consists of various sensors, radar and mortar interceptors. When a rocket or projectile flies into the car, the system releases a cloud of fractions and eliminates the threat.
However, the Bradley BMPs still cannotuse this protection, because their on-board electrical systems are not designed for such a load. As a result, the United States decided to develop a modification of the machine with an additional power source.
