US may ease some restrictions on Huawei

Just a couple of years ago, Huawei was one of the largest smartphone manufacturers. However, in 2019 the company

fell under US sanctions, which caused significant damage to its business. Now the media is reporting that these American restrictions may be easing. Discuss

A Bloomberg report claims that the BureauIndustry and Security The US Department of Commerce has issued a rule allowing the sharing of certain low-level technologies. In other words, some technologies may be transferred to organizations under sanctions, such as Huawei.

A spokesman for the ministry stated that"US stakeholders should be fully involved in international standards organizations, especially where the critical but sometimes invisible standards they set have important national security implications as well as commercial implications."

It is believed that in the future this may play into the hands of Huawei.
