
Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, will be able to begin full-scale production of CH-53K helicopters for the Corps

Sikorsky representatives call the CH-53K the mosttechnologically advanced helicopter in the world. The permission to launch full-scale production will allow the American company to stabilize the supply chain (more than 200 enterprises) and underlines the reliability of the partnership with the Marine Corps.
CH-53K King Stallion is the only multipurposeHelicopter with increased payload, the production of which will continue after 2032. The aircraft can carry a load weighing more than 12 tons for a distance of 200 km. It is focused on the transportation of personnel, equipment and machinery within the country.
The Navy this year has already managed tostop and resume flights of CH-53K King Stallion. The decision to suspend flights was made after the crash during an exercise that took place in early summer in California.
Next year, the Marine Corps intends to purchase 10 helicopters, in a year - 15. From 2025, the service wants to purchase 21 units of CH-53K King Stallion annually.
