US Navy will adopt the modernized fighter F / A-18 Super Hornet

Modernization of the US armed forces includes not only the creation of modern devices, but also

modernization of well-proven old fighters, bombers and other aircraft.

For example, according to the plans of the military, a bomberB-52 must fly before the 2040s. In the same way, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps intend to deal with F / A-18 tactical fighters, upgrading them so that they can hit fourth-generation fighters.

Boeing has already completed the modernization of the F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III and is preparing to put it into service with the US Navy in the near future.

In addition to the ability to hit the targets of the fourth generation, the modernized fighter will increase its service life - from 6 thousand to 7.5 thousand flight hours.

Previously, the Indian carrier-based Tejas Navy fighter first boarded an aircraft carrier. Landing was made during the tests on January 11, 2020.
