US Republicans sue Google for sending their emails to spam folder

The Republican National Committee is suing Google for allegedly sending "millions" of emails.

Republicans have been complaining for months aboutGoogle, claiming that the company marks their emails as spam, but the Democrats' emails don't. To address the issue, Google launched a pilot program in September to help prevent political emails from being flagged as spam. However, the Republicans did not take advantage of the program, which would require compliance with security requirements and best practice standards for bulk emailing.

“This discrimination has been going on for about tenmonths, despite RNC's best efforts to work with Google," the lawsuit says. Google itself claims it doesn't filter emails based on political affiliation.
