US sends more F-15E Strike Eagles to Japan to support F-35 Lightning II

An additional shipment has arrived at the Kadena base, which is located on the Japanese island of Okinawa.

What is known

Last year, the US Air Force began sendingretired F-15C / D aircraft, which were based on the island of Okinawa. Initially, the fifth-generation F-22 Raptor fighters became a temporary replacement for them. The present American fighter force on the island is provided by the F-35 Lightning II and F-15E Strike Eagle.

At the end of March, F-35A aircraft arrived in Japan.A few days later, the United States sent the first batch of F-15Es after them. Recently, the press service of the Kadena base announced the arrival of another group of F-15E fighters. So, aircraft of the 391st Fighter Squadron flew to Okinawa from the Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

Newly arrived fighters will workalong with other F-15Es, F-35s, and the remaining F-15C/Ds that have not yet flown to the US. This will ensure the constant combat capability of the US military forces in the Indo-Pacific region.
