US sues TikTok for refusing to remove Russian videos

Republican senators in the U.S. sent a letter to TikTok CEO Shaw Zi Choo, in which

expressed concern about the fact that the social network marked up videos of Russian state media on its resource.

The authors of the letter believe that the social network allowed“Russian state media to flood the platform with dangerous pro-war propaganda.” But all videos related to the Russian agenda were removed from TikTok on March 25, from the day they were banned. The rest of the videos that the Americans are talking about were posted before this date.

Politicians also require TikTok to answer a number of questions. The company said they are ready to cooperate with the authorities.
