US wants to buy Pegasus spyware to spy on other countries

The American defense company L3Harris intends to buy the notorious program for spying on

Pegasus people. Negotiations are ongoing regarding this with the developer, the Israeli company NSO Group. Discuss

As it became known, the negotiations are being conducted against the backdrop ofthe financial crisis that NSO Group found itself in after it was sanctioned by the US for selling the app to political regimes that used Pegasus to spy on journalists, the opposition and human rights activists.

At the same time, the US administration commentedthe situation, stating that the deal was, in essence, a sanctions circumvention, a violation of laws that require foreign companies not to circumvent US export controls or sanctions.
