Valve introduced Artifact 2.0: new monetization, balance and improved gameplay

The failed Artifact will get a second wind. Valve has announced the second version of the card game, in which

will rework the gameplay and monetization system.

What is known

Major change in Artifact 2.0 - Valve will no longer sell cards. The developers are still considering the monetization system, but are confident that sets and decks will not appear on the shelves of the virtual store. In the new version of Artifact, cards will be unlocked through gameplay. In addition, the developers will arrange a rebalance and may even throw away some cards.

The second change is that players will have access immediatelyto three lines. Most effects will be applied to individual lines and will not change the essence. The likelihood that a player will be left without playing options, as was the case before, has become less.

They also added a new draft mode - heroic draft, in which you can try to build a deck without unnecessary stress.

It is not yet known when the Artifact 2 beta will start.0, but it will become a separate application. Valve has already launched internal tests, and in the future it will let ordinary gamers play. Owners of Artifact who purchased the game before March 30 will be the first to gain access, while others will be invited randomly.

The current action plan is as follows:

  • Testing everything boring (Valve is here).
  • Sending out invitations, starting with the owners of the original version of the game (and increasing volumes, as was the case with Dota 2).
  • Work on beta and gradual transition to open beta.
  • Exit from beta (we hope it happens faster than Dota 2).

For players who want to know more:

  • Resident Evil 3 ratings: an ambiguous remake of the cult Capcom horror
  • Media: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 remaster will be released on March 31 without the controversial mission and multiplayer
