Video: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed Russian Su-34 supersonic fighter worth up to $50 million

On March 3, 2023, a video of the destruction of planes over Yenakievo, Donetsk region, appeared on social networks.

Later, the downing of the fighter was confirmed by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What is known

The destroyed aircraft turned out to be supersonicthe Su-34 fighter, the cost of which is $ 36-50 million. One pilot died, and the second was able to eject. The aircraft was shot down by fighters of the Nikopol Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Vostok Air Command at 13:30 (EET).

It should be noted that this is not the firstdestroyed Russian Su-34 fighter. One such aircraft was shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine last fall, and two more self-destructed. Moreover, in October, the fighter fell on a residential building in Russia.
