Vivo S7t 5G: the company's new smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip and OriginOS on board (actually not)

Vivo announced in China its next smartphone supporting the fifth generation network (5G) - Vivo S7t.

What is known

The device cannot be called new.Essentially, it's an almost complete copy of the regular Vivo S7, which debuted in China last fall. The T-version of the device differs only in the processor. Instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, the smartphone was equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip. This is its direct competitor. The SoC is built on the 7nm FinFET process. It uses four energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and four high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz. The processor is paired with 8 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128 GB of ROM (UFS 2.1).

All other specifications of the Vivo S7t remainsame. The device received a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a notch for a dual self-camera of 44 MP + 8 MP, a triple main camera of 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP, a 4000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging and a proprietary shell OriginOS. It is based on the Android 11 operating system.

Price and when to wait

The Vivo S7t has already started selling in China for $ 417. Whether the novelty will appear in other regions is still unknown.
