As part of the VK Protect program, information will now be availableis protected, which will prevent hacking of profiles through other services.

The social network notes that usually suchapplications use to collect data that is not needed for their work. In the future, hacked accounts can be used for malicious actions, sending spam and collecting confidential information.

Thus, a new protection function appeared.

This feature will be enabled by default forsocial network users who use Android devices. At the same time, the work of the official application or clients from other developers will not change. Moreover, third-party developers can contact support to enable the new feature and keep the audience safe.

The updates came as part of the VK Protect initiative, which brings together all the technological solutions that protect VK users.
