VKontakte has launched an experimental messenger for Belarus. It will test “phantom chats” with
The messenger is called VK Me. As the publication vc writes.ru, it is available for download in the App Store and Google Play in Belarus. VK Me users will be the first to test so-called phantom chats. In the future, this option may appear in the main application of the social network in Russia.
In phantom chats, messages are deleted afterset time. Secretly, to take a screenshot in such a chat to save correspondence will not work - the interlocutors will receive a notification about this. In addition, VK Me users can send a disappearing message in a regular dialog.
The experimental application also received a mode“invisible”: the social network will not show that the user is online. Belarusians will be able to set their own backgrounds and rename contacts. Interestingly, VK Me does not require linking to a VKontakte profile.
It is worth noting that this messenger has been tested in Kazakhstan since 2018.
