Vodafone for a month made free travel in Lviv

At the beginning of March, Vodafone launched a service for paying for travel on city electric transport in Lviv using

SMS messages. And from today, passengers who used this service will receive a full refund of the money spent on their trips.

How to pay

Instructions have appeared on trams and trolleybuseswith detailed explanations of how to pay for travel and a route code. Passengers need to send a message with this code to the short number 877. After 1-2 minutes, a confirmation of payment with a unique identifier and information about the type of ticket purchased will be sent to the phone.

In this case, the passenger only pays for the travel; sending SMS is free. Prepaid subscribers can use the service, the main thing is that there are enough funds in their account.

How to return the money

From today there is also cashback:For passengers who used the SMS service on trams and trolleybuses, Vodafone will return the money spent on travel to an additional account. This is 5 hryvnia (the cost of a single general ticket) and 2.5 hryvnia (for beneficiaries).

The transfer of money will be reported in a separate message.Bonus funds can be used to pay for a package of services according to the tariff; calls within Ukraine and abroad; additional packages of minutes; Internet; roaming services and any other Vodafone services, except content services.

Cashback will be valid for a month. In this way, Vodafone wants to encourage residents and guests of the “Mist Leva” for refusing paper tickets and cash payments.

By the way, the same SMS payment in Lviv city electric transport was launched by Kyivstar and lifecell.

From 14 March and during the monthVodafone customers who pay for travel on electric transport in Lviv using SMS will receive the money spent on their additional mobile account. Vodafone will return funds for the purchase of one-time general and discount tickets on trams and trolleybuses of the city, costing 5 and 2.5 UAH, respectively. The number of trips during the day is not limited.
