Volkswagen (VW) showed in a video how its robot worksfor charging electric vehicles.
The prototype robot has a "face".It lights up when the device takes the battery pack to charge and connects it to the car. The robot operates automatically. You can launch it either using an application on a smartphone or through the control system in an electric car. The robot then transports the battery packs to the parked car.
It is reported that the charging system was developed specifically for VW models like the ID.4. But the robot must be compatible with all electric vehicles.
It is not yet known when the system will be available to everyone. Earlier it was reported that the capacity of one battery pack is 25 kWh.
