The developers of the instant messaging service WhatsApp have finally “untied” the messenger from smartphones
What does it mean?
Now to work with WhatsApp on tablets andpersonal computers do not need to connect the smartphone to the Internet. Developers provide a separate identifier for all devices. In addition, all devices with an account are linked on the server.
Interestingly, the tablet cannot be used inas the main gadget, while iPhone owners will have to put up with some restrictions. In particular, an Apple smartphone user will not be able to delete conversations and messages on other devices.
The limitation does not end there.The developers note that you need to run WhatsApp on the main gadget at least once every two weeks, otherwise the synchronization will be interrupted. This applies to all smartphones / computers, regardless of the version of the operating system.

To activate the function, you need to go to the section“Connected devices” and scan the QR-code, which will be displayed in the web version of the messenger for the computer. Note that no more than four devices can be connected to one WhatsApp account.
