Huawei showed its folding Mate X smartphone back in February at MWC 2019, but decided not to rush

with the release of the device due to Samsung Galaxy Fold issues. And now, after almost eight months, the manufacturer still announced the start date of sales of new items.

Price and when to wait

The device received two versions. The junior model Mate X was equipped with last year's flagship chipset Kirin 980 with a 5G-modem Balong 5000. It will begin to be sold on November 15 with a price tag of $ 2400. The eldest, in turn, received a more powerful Kirin 990 processor. Such a smartphone model will enter the market with the name Mate Xs and will only appear in March 2020. Her price tag has not yet been reported.

Recall Mate X has a folding 8-inchOLED screen with a resolution of 2480 × 2200 pixels. When folded, it forms two displays: a 6.6-inch (2480 × 1148p) on the front of the device and a 6.38-inch (2480 × 1148p) on the back.

The device is equipped with a triple camera 40 MP + 16Mp + 8 Mp, as well as 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of ROM. The new product runs on Android 9 Pie with the EMUI 9.1 shell. In the near future, the company plans to upgrade the device to Android 10. Mate X is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery, which supports fast 55-watt charging (85% in 30 minutes).
