Watch the Titanic collapse in 8K resolution

Commercial company OceanGate has unveiled the first 8K footage of the sunken transatlantic liner.

The wreck is documented with high-definition cameras to follow the ship's destruction and capture intricate details.

Researchers have already conducted two expeditions to"Titanic" and planned a new shooting for 2023. First-of-its-kind footage shows the ship's famous prow, port anchor, hull number one, and a huge anchor chain, each link weighing almost 91 kilograms. The video also shows evidence of the collapse. For 110 years at the bottom, some parts collapsed and fell off the stern.

Looking at the port anchor, green lights can be seenlaser zoom systems. It is used to accurately determine the size of the objects the camera is pointing at. The distance between two green lights is 10 cm.

Researchers note that high-qualitythe survey will help historians and underwater archaeologists determine the details of the Titanic's disintegration when comparing surveys that will be made annually. In addition, 8K footage can be scaled up and used for large screens and immersive video projects that typically use 4K.

In addition to videos, OceanGate delivers tourists to the Titanic and other sunken ships. For example, one trip to an “unsinkable” liner now costs $250,000.
