Long March 5B rocket launched from the cosmodromeWenchang in Hainan on Monday, October 31, delivering the third and final module called "Mengtian" to the Chinese space station Tiangong. Most rocket stages descend with their engines ignited, which allows them to be carried away from populated areas, but not the Long March 5B. The Chinese space agency did not take this precaution for its heavy launch vehicle, leaving largely to chance where it might land.

So now it remains to guess where it can fallmain stage. As in previous cases, the Center for Orbital Reentry and Debris Research (CORDS) monitors the object and provides regular updates. According to the company's initial forecast, an uncontrolled reentry would occur at 14:21 Moscow time on Friday, November 4. A possible impact area will become known a few minutes before re-entry into the atmosphere.
