No need to talk about "clickbait" in the title, etc.Right now you open Yandex.Market, sort the model by price, and here they are - the treasured 6400 rubles of the starting price for Infinix Smart 6 Plus. Moreover, at this price you get a mobile phone with an 8-core processor, 64 GB of memory, a fingerprint scanner, a weighty 5000 mAh battery and an expensive, rich exterior. They will also bring it home for free if you order directly from the Market!

So it goes
And we, of course, understand that the ruble at a certaintime became more expensive, so Chinese goods became cheaper for us, but… even suspiciously cheap. How does it even work? How is it different from all kinds of Xiaomi? Is modern Android capable of somehow fitting into 2 GB of RAM? Let’s try to figure this out today without snobbery and Moscow show-offs in relation to budget technology.
Appearance

Infinix Smart 6 Plus
Honestly, I like that modern state employees no longer look cheap. At least they definitely look better than smartphones of the same level 5-10 years ago.

Infinix Smart 6 Plus
So the Infinix Smart 6 Plus is moderately pretty, with a beautiful shiny back, which, however, quickly gets smeared with fingerprints (and the case was not included in the kit).

Infinix Smart 6 Plus
By the way, for the kit.The box with the smartphone turned out to be as simple as possible, charging along with the cable rolls inside and hits the walls if the box is shaken. In fact, only the phone itself is fixed inside. At Infinix, the packaging is always as budget-friendly as possible, but here they even saved on cardboard.

At the same time, the smartphone is quite thin, comfortable, “does not play, does not creak”, and only the micro-USB connector hints at its price, and asymmetrically located 3.5 mm next to it (FM radio is supported).
On the back, by the way, there is also a scannerfingerprints, but don't even rely on NFC. But, as is customary among state employees, there is a full-fledged triple slot: you can put two nano-SIMs and a MicroSD memory card at the same time.
Screen
For Infinix smartphones, the screen is traditionally the weak link. As a rule, they have poor color reproduction and terribly high white balance to make the picture seem brighter.
However, when I turned on the Infinix Smart 6 Plus, at first II thought that this is perhaps the best screen from Infinix. No, seriously - it’s precisely with my eyes that I don’t see that “cyanosis” (which you can’t fix with the settings without installing additional utilities), and the colors are pleasant, and the green color branded for this manufacturer in the design of the system does not “burn out” the retina.

The colorimeter, however, did not agree with me. According to the measurements here, the white balance is still at the level of 9000K, which is a lot, except that the brightness and contrast are acceptable for a state employee.
All in all, a strange story. It seems pleasant to the eyes (purely visually), and the colorimeter says that there should be cyanosis. It is possible that visual fatigue when using this smartphone will still occur quite quickly, especially in the evening, as happens with an abundance of blue. Moreover, at the minimum brightness level, there is still too much light from the screen.

Judging by the instruments, 9000K in the Infinix Smart 6 Plus display is a real nightmare. But in practice it does not catch the eye, unlike other smartphones
Performance and autonomy
About the hardware of the Infinix Smart 6 Plustalk in more detail. Yes, this is an inexpensive smartphone that is built on a very weak MediaTek Helio G25 processor, but this is still half the trouble (Xiaomi Redmi 10A has the same processor, for example). And the trouble is that here (in the lower trim levels) there is indecently little RAM - only 2 GB of RAM. And in order to somehow brighten up (or even hide) this fact, the manufacturer happily declares that you can expand these 2 GB with virtual 2 GB (bite off permanent memory of 64 GB) and thus get as much as 4 GB of RAM!

Moreover, the number 4 flaunts right on the box, which is several times larger than “2+2”. Those. they didn’t seem to lie, but in general it’s like the inscriptions 4K 120 FPS on the boxes with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. Half-truth.

Infinix Smart 6 Plus box
In general, this memory expansion is now becoming very fashionable for Android smartphones. But this must be taken with skepticism.
Firstly, real RAM is expanded at the expense of the drive, and if the drive is very slow (like in state employees), then this is like a dead poultice.
Secondly, applications in general do not notice this.memory expansion - they still "see" your smartphone as 2 GB. If you only have 2 GB of RAM, and the application needs more, it will still refuse to run. As the 3D Mark benchmark refused, so there are no results from it in the article.

Memory expansion setting active…
Those.see: if an application requires more memory than you physically have, an extension won't help. What is it for then? Apparently, if the application requires less than 2 GB of RAM, then the Infinix Smart 6 Plus will simply be able to keep more applications in memory and not unload them. In theory, this should reduce their restart time, but again, given the slow drive, this is unlikely to have an effect.
Overall, the Infinix Smart 6 Plus performs wellsooooo slow. If you disable memory expansion, it seems to get even worse, but perhaps this is a “placebo effect”. Sometimes it seems that the smartphone seems to have “overclocked”, and then you launch an application or open some menu - and again hello to brakes and short-term freezes.

You might think that such slownessin return allows him to “work forever”? Unfortunately not either. I don’t complain about the autonomy of Smart 6 Plus, but with a budget low-frequency and relatively modern processor, coupled with a “strangled” 2 gigabytes (less memory - fewer simultaneously running applications) of RAM, the system could have been a little better.
Camera
There are no surprises here. The Infinix Smart 6 Plus shoots with its single rear camera (don't be fooled by the supposedly two lenses on the back) about the same as you would expect from a smartphone for 8 thousand rubles. At night, the camera is practically useless, during the day ... Well, how lucky. Sometimes, if the weather is overcast, it is difficult to take a clear picture even at noon. And the rest - will do for the money.

Selfies seem to be a little better, but the picture is about the same as on the webcam of your old laptop.

The video is similar:at night it’s better not to try to shoot it at all (unless you are attracted to shooting at 14 frames per second), during the day - well, if you don’t shoot on the go, you can even record something sane.

Poco C40

Poco C40
For 8.5 thousand rubles you can buy Poco C40,which ... Well, judging by the reviews of all the familiar reviewers, it is radically worse than the Infinix Smart 6 Plus. I confess that I personally didn’t use this smartphone, but I remember that Poco is best at making models for 20-25 thousand, where it’s real and the performance is like that of much more expensive models, and in general the quality is nothing like that (except for the camera). On the other hand, the Poco C40 will already have three honest gigabytes of RAM - 3D Mark will start, for example. But only 32 GB of storage and, perhaps, the worst processor of all that are put in smartphones of the 2022 model year. Don't contact.
Realme C30

Realme C30
Raising the archives with photographs taken onRealme C30 (I tested it), I suddenly realized that I somehow over-praised Infinix with “adequate camera quality for the money”. Right now I see in the DNS an opportunity to buy Realme C30 c (you just don’t fall) as much as four gigabytes of RAM for 8 thousand rubles! And the same 64 GB of storage. And option 2/32 can generally be taken for 6 thousand rubles. At the same time, the Realme C30 is somewhat more beautiful (the most beautiful state employee of 2022, as for me), many times faster, and still (yes) it shoots better.
Of course, Realme C30 does not have a fingerprint scannerfingers, also a “strangled” processor (like the same Unisoc T612, like Realme C31 / C21Y, but in fact slowed down) and all that, but ... Look at the benchmark results above. This is heaven and earth!

Sometimes it feels like Infinixrelease some smartphones just for the sake of experiment. For example, this Smart 6 Plus - how many smartphones do you know that would have 64 GB of internal memory, but only 2 GB of RAM? Moreover, these “2 + 2 GB of RAM” connected in the Android settings are not yet perceived by applications as 4 GB - in fact, you have a smartphone with two gigabytes of memory at the price of smartphones with 3-4 gigabytes of memory.

At the same time, some other significant advantages of a smartphonedoes not offer. The camera is a little better with competitors (it never shone with Infinix, but here, in a super-cut budget, even more so), and I can only single out the screen as a plus. And then the colorimeter does not agree with my eyes: I like it, but the measurement data says “here the blue splashed, don’t take this.”
No, of course you can use various applications on the Infinix Smart 6 Plus, listen to the radio, even play, but ... all this will be very slow, unhurried, and with a lot of freezes / jerky work.
It is clear that you don’t have to expect much from a smartphone for 8 thousand rubles. The problem is that there are smartphones for the same 8 thousand, which ... Well ... Everything is better. For example, Realme C30.
Here's the truth, here's the thing.8.5 thousand rubles is the temporary price of Infinix Smart 6 Plus, which will eventually be raised to 10 thousand rubles. That is, Infinix seriously planned to sell the 2/64 GB version for 10 thousand rubles! As they say, draw your own conclusions.
The reality, however, turned out differently, and right now (October 27) I see this Smart 6 Plus 2/64 for 6 thousand in Svyaznoy.

But in any case, this is already a smartphone sotruncated on all fronts, that I would rather not get involved if I were you. If you like Infinix, take at least Hot 12 Play - you can find it for 10 thousand rubles in the variant with 4/64 GB of memory with Unisoc T610, and this is already a normal smartphone in terms of speed. Well, don’t forget about competitors with 4/64 and Unisoc T610/612/616/618 - in an era when MediaTek got snickering and began to break a high price for its Helio G70 / G80, Unisoc is a friend of a person who is looking for a more or less decent smartphone for 10 (or slightly less) thousand rubles.
