What Apple smartphones and tablets will not be able to upgrade to iOS 13

The French publication iPhoneSoft, citing information from an anonymous Apple developer, published a list

devices that will not receive the new iOS 13.

Who's on the list

If last year all gadgets running iOS 11 were updated to iOS 12, then this year the list will be reduced. So, the following are compatible with iOS 13:

  • iPhone XS Max
  • iPhone XS
  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8 Plus
  • iPhone 8
  • iPhone 7 Plus
  • iPhone 7
  • iPhone 6S
  • iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPad Pro 12.9 2016 and 2017
  • iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad Pro 9.7
  • iPad Pro 11 2018
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Air 3
  • iPad 5
  • iPad 6
  • iPad Mini 4
  • iPad Mini 3
  • iPod touch 6th generation media player

Thus, without a fresh firmware will remain:

  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6
  • iPhone 6 Plus

iOS 13 is expected to be unveiled at the WWDC developer conference on June 3.
