We are talking about tourists vacationing in the south of Russia. The most common are RVI - a rotavirus infection, which is often confused with poisoning due to similar symptoms.

Also frequent are hepatitis A, sexually transmitted diseases, Coxsackie virus, Staphylococcus aureus.

Doctor Konovalov emphasized that staphylococcus most often enters the body from expired products, or due to non-compliance with sanitary measures by the cook.

“For example, it can multiply in expiredfoodstuffs, such as seasoned salads, which are stored for a long time with egg dressing, mayonnaise sauce, sour-milk products. Usually, staphylococcus aureus gets into such products from the untreated hands of the cook,” said Ivan Konovalov.
