Cardiologist, therapist Rustem Osmanov explained what preventative measures in diet and lifestyle are needed
Ischemia is one of the most common causes of premature death in the world. At the same time, prevention seriously reduces the risk of this pathology.
The doctor said that it is necessary to prevent CVD infirst of all with the help of a hypocholesterol diet. With such a diet, preference is given to fish, turkey, rabbit; increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables, add cereal products to the regular diet.
For cooking daily meals, dressingssalads use olive, rapeseed, corn, sunflower oil. “At the same time, the total fat content should not exceed 30% of the daily calorie intake, and saturated fat should not exceed 1/3 of all fat consumed,” the cardiologist specified.
It is important to observe salt intake - no more than 5 grams per day. It is also worth limiting sausages and bakery products in the diet, as these are products with “hidden” salt.
Of course, smoking and alcohol should be avoided.
Osmanov recommended to observe convenient modesphysical activity. For example, it could be moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, 30 minutes a day five times a week, or 150 minutes a week of intense physical activity, or a combination. It is equally important to avoid prolonged stress.
One of the essential factors is control.blood pressure. The level of blood pressure must be maintained within 120–130/80 mm Hg, and the level of glycated hemoglobin should be maintained at 6–6.5%.
It is also necessary to solve the problem of excess weight. The norm of the body mass index is up to 24.9. If 25–29 is determined, this indicates that the person is obese.
