What health problems can a concussion cause even after many years

Many people suffer at least one concussion in their lifetime. But even a “mild” version of this injury can

cause long-term health effects. Discuss

New research from New Zealand scientistsshowed that eight years later, adults who suffered a mild concussion experienced unpleasant symptoms ranging from depression to other problems. This does not mean that all survivors of such an injury will experience consequences, but it does highlight that a concussion can change the lives of some patients.

In a new study, more than a third of participantsreported that, in their opinion, they were still suffering from a mild traumatic brain injury received eight years ago. Especially the trauma undermined the health of women. They reported symptoms of anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
