If your current ninth generation iPad is equipped withA13 Bionic chip, the iPad 10 will run on the A14 Bionic chip, as 9to5Mac learned from sources familiar with the matter. Recall that in the iPad Air 4 and iPhone 12, the A14 Bionic chip only comes with 4 GB of RAM.

Virtually all iPhone and iPad models soldApple currently support 5G. However, the iPad 9 is still limited to LTE connectivity. According to 9to5Mac sources, the 10th generation iPad will support faster 5G networks, but not likely in the base version of the device.

9to5Mac has learned from sources that the new 10th generation iPad will ditch the Lightning connector in favor of the more modern USB-C.

As the new iPad is expected to featureUSB-C port, it may feature a new, more modern design based on the latest iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad Pro. And judging by some renders leaked earlier this month, that looks like the truth.

Despite the new design, the iPad 10 may not get a new display. Judging by the same renderings, the new iPad will retain the same rectangular display with thick bezels and the Home button with Touch ID.

Apple is currently selling the iPad 9 for $329. However, due to inflation and given that many Apple products are becoming more expensive, the company may raise prices for new iPads for the first time.

As for the amount of memory, it should remain the same as in the current generation: 64 GB and 256 GB.

And with rumors that Apple may delay the release of iPadOS 16 until October, an October 10th generation iPad release seems likely.
