Researchers at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health say eating three or more servings of low-fat dairy a day increases the risk of Parkinson's disease.
The authors came to this conclusion after studyinghuge amount of data over a period of 25 years. Surveys and health information from over 80,000 women and 48,000 men were used. 1,036 participants were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease during the study.
Studying what dairy products consumedthe participants—everything from butter to milk to yogurt—the researchers tried to find connections. It turned out that people who consumed at least three servings of low-fat dairy products per day were 34% more likely to suffer from Parkinson's disease.
