It turned out that those drugs that are takento relieve coronary heart disease and reduce the risk of heart attack, may contribute to myocardial infarction in hot weather. These include aspirin, antiplatelet drugs, and beta-blockers.

Scientists came to similar conclusions as a result of an analysis of 2494 cases of myocardial infarction that occurred in the city of Augsburg in Germany from May to September from 2001-2014.

At the same time, the experts noted thatthe connection they discovered does not prove 100% the guilt of taking the drugs, a comparison of younger patients (from 25 to 59 years old) with older ones (from 60 to 74 years old) showed that it was among those taking beta-blockers and antiplatelet drugs that there were more prone to heart attack, associated with heat. And this is provided that their coronary heart disease was not so pronounced. And this already demonstrates that it is the drugs that can contribute to myocardial infarction, and not the underlying cardiovascular condition (that is, coronary disease).
