The researchers recruited 134 weightlifters over the age of 18. One group reported current or previous steroid use, while the other group reported never taking them.

Participants completed cognitive tests that assessedworking memory, information processing speed, etc. The researchers found that ADHD symptom scores were higher in people in the first group. Moreover, the earlier start of steroid use was associated with a greater number of symptoms.
