I can immediately say that the general opinion about these twothe new products are as follows. The phones represent fairly familiar and relatively repetitive updates overall, but with significant improvements in cameras and battery life.

Battery and Runtime

Apple claims iPhone battery lifeThe 11 Pro is four hours longer than the iPhone XS, and that the larger iPhone 11 Pro Max works five hours longer than the iPhone XS Max, and reviews confirm these numbers.

Engadget's Chris Velasco says the iPhone 11 Pro has been running on a charge for almost 12 hours, compared to 9-9.5 hours with the iPhone XS:

When I tested the brand new XS in the pastyear, he worked from 9 to 9.5 hours without recharging in the days of heavy use. This year, the iPhone 11 Pro worked with the same general loads and worked for about 12 hours before it needed to be recharged. At the same time, the larger Pro Max lasted 13 to 14 hours without recharging compared to 11-12 hours that I squeezed out of the iPhone XS Max.

Nilai Patel of The Verge says his iPhone 11 Pro Max has 12-14 hours of continuous use compared to 8-10 hours with the iPhone XS Max:

So the best thing I can tell you isthat Apple has historically done a good job with its battery life requirements, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which I used every day for a week, consistently lasted 12 to 14 hours on a charge, with more than 10 hours of screen-on time. specified in the battery settings for a 24-hour period. For my iPhone XS Max, this is no more than 8-10 hours of battery life, which is a noticeable improvement.

Camera and night mode

IPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max modelsuse the same rear camera system with three lenses and a new ultra-wide angle sensor to complement existing wide-angle and telephoto lenses on last year’s premium models.

Patel believes that the iPhone 11 Pro models have the “best camera for smartphones on the market”:

It looks like Apple has taken all this criticism to heartto the heart, because the cameras of the iPhone 11 Pro — a huge improvement over the XS, and they beat the Pixel and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus in most of our side-by-side comparisons. In fact, I think the iPhone 11 Pro — The best smartphone camera on the market.

Raymond Wong from Mashable believes the newthe night mode for the iPhone 11 in low light, which turns on automatically when necessary, is at the same time better and more convenient than the similar night mode on the latest Google Pixel smartphones:

Of course, Google first did night mode, butThis feature is more intuitive on the iPhone 11 Pro. On the Pixel, the rotating exposure ring locks the entire viewfinder until you move, but on the iPhone 11 Pro in real time, you can see that the exposure gets brighter when the timer starts the countdown.

And the night mode of the iPhone 11 Pro also, in my opinionopinion, gives the best photos — sharper details and better tones and contrast to maintain the mood of the scene. While Night mode on other phones makes a scene appear brighter or artificial, the iPhone 11 Pro's Night mode more subtly balances light and dark areas in both the foreground and background.

Here's a parallel comparison of Night Mode on the iPhone 11 Pro and Night Sight on Google Pixel 3 from The Verge:

Design

TechCrunch's Matthew Panzarino says the new Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro color actually looks more like a dark gray under most lighting conditions:

Green looks almost nothing like any of the photos, which I saw on the Apple website. Deep Green reads as dark gray in all but the most direct indoor lighting. Outdoors, the treated stainless strip has an «80s Mall Green» shade that I really like. Overall, however, it is a very muted color.

Panzarino adds that the new frosted glass case makes the iPhone 11 Pro models more attractive than the glossy-coated iPhone XS models.

According to Lauren Hood of Wired, all three iPhone 11 models have, according to Apple, the most durable glass on any iPhone:

All three new iPhones have, according to Apple,The toughest glass on any iPhone. However, the back of the Pro phones has a textured and less slippery matte surface, and I prefer it. Pro phones are also available in colors that are more restrained than the iPhone 11 line, contributing to a more serious Pro style.
