The US planned that 12 people would live on the base, and this – engineers, scientists, etc. They had to use weapons for self-defense. As a result, American researchers have developed several weapon options. They had several common features: the absence of sights, butts, etc., defeating the enemy with many elements at once.

In the second part of this report, the authors presented several options for weapons that could be used on the lunar surface. These are directed energy emitters, for example – lasers. But experts also noted that such an opportunity will have to wait at least 20 years. The prototypes had the form of a regular pistol and a flashlight. They could shoot darts using compressed gas, or regular bullets.

However, all this never became a reality.The United States quickly realized that space exploration – the process is long and complex. Moreover, even now this habitable base remains still at the project stage. The same goes for weapons.
