Scientists have discovered what can reduce the damage that a high-fat diet causes to the body.
It was found that such a diet changes the activitygenes and creates conditions for the formation of fat cells. To better understand these mechanisms, scientists conducted an experiment on mice. They were divided into two groups: one on a regular diet and the other on a high-fat diet. Three weeks later, each of these groups was divided into two more groups: in the first, the mice ran on a treadmill, in the second, they led a sedentary lifestyle.
The scientists then analyzed the activity of the genes inanimals. They realized that a high-fat diet caused stem cells to degenerate into fat cells and connective tissue cells called fibroblasts. The good news is that training reversed this effect.
