WhatsApp postponed policy update due to people's dissatisfaction

WhatsApp has delayed updating its data sharing policy due to people's dissatisfaction. Innovations, as noted,

will come into force not on February 8, as planned, but on May 15.

The news of the updates has led to confusion among users of the popular messenger, who have begun to consider alternative messaging programs.Recall that in early January, the company, with the help of notifications in the messenger, asked users to accept new conditions, which implythe transfer of some personal data about them to Facebook, including their phone number and geolocation. Moreover, it was noted that if users do not agree with the innovations, they will not be able touse the program.

“Now we are postponing the date when people will beasked to review and accept the new terms and conditions. No one will be blocked or removed on February 8th. We're also going to do a lot more to eliminate misinformation about how privacy and security works on WhatsApp,” – representatives of the messenger reported.
