WhatsApp will discontinue support for Android Gingerbread and iOS 8 from next year

WhatsApp messenger developers announced that soon they will not support their application on

old operating systems.

Users will continue to be able to launch WhatsApp, but it will be impossible to create a new account or verify an existing one. Due to lack of support, some functions will also stop working. The same situation applies to owners of iPhone with iOS 8 on board. Starting next year, WhatsApp developers will also cease to support the "apple" application on this version of the OS.
